It's Friday, so we know what that means? Cool-a$$ music time! Check these tracks out, tell me what you think about em'?
JAMES BLAKE - LIMIT TO YOUR LOVE (ORIGINAL VERSION)
GOTYE - SMOKE AND MIRRORS (ORIGINAL AUDIO)
Since I won't be clubbing tonight, and it's going to be a night of pure relaxation I put some chill tracks that connect to my mood and the vibe i'm in right now.
To all the party animals out there itching for the night life tonight, I wish you all a very exciting and crazy Friday!
strictly dedicated to the Queen of Clubs herself: NADIA ALI!!!
She paved the way for techno house singers everywhere when she introduced the smash hit 'Rapture' in the late 90's with the band iio! Since her departure from the group - she has gone solo, showcasing a sound of her very own on her debut CD, 'Queen of Clubs.' It is quite phenomenal, but the remixes are even HOTTER! I can imagine that it must be a DJ's dream to remix a song for the lovely and seasoned artist, Nadia Ali.
If you have never heard of Nadia Ali, you're going to need to listen to these tracks. Her voice is seriously MAGICAL and EXOTIC.
I picked a couple of my favorite remixes. Hope you like 'em!
1. Rapture 2011 Remix by Avicii - A classic beat with a new twist
2. Love Story remix by Sultan and Ned Shepard - I call them Gods in the DJ world.
Absolutely SICK beat!!!!
3. Promises - remix by Sebastian Kreig and Roman F: Extended version
The usual club tracks have been switched this week to a more indie artist flavor.
Even though club music is definitely my go-to type of music because it gets me pumped and excited, once in a while I come across these really nice soulful songs that just take me to another world. Music is such an important part of my life, actually. Different songs even give me inspiration for new outfit ideas! I hope you all enjoy this week’s F.usic tracks as much as I do!
If you were expecting dance tracks, don't you worry. I also have stacked up on new electronic/house downloads that are sooo addicting. I can't wait to put those up. I tried hard to fight the urge to just put them up today, but I had to switch it up a little.
1. Nicholas Jaar ft. Scout Larue - With just one glance
2. Gotye ft. Kimbra - Somebody that I used to know
3. Jamie Woon - Night air (kind of Clubby)
Until next time, Happy Friday Everyone!
-Anna xx
***A REMINDER:
If you are new to my blog – ‘F.USIC’ is my combination of Fashionable-Music. I always thought fashion and music went hand in hand. Maybe because they both need a certain artistic flare…I try to have all the tracks I post be very edgy, and cool; something you can listen to to get you pumped for a party, relax on the beach with your cocktail, or whatever else the occasion may be. I try not to put anything mainstream. I like celebrating the lesser known artists and underground tracks. And I will try my very best to keep it that way. :-)
It's that time again, a showcase of the best tracks out there to get you pumpin' for your Friday night!
It really is amazing how a song can make you feel. I put club music on to give me just enough confidence and energy to get me ready for a crazy night of dancing and fun!
Hope you enjoy these tunes as much as I do!
PLAYMEN - REPRESENTING GREECE, I AM SO PROUD!
"Don't ask me why I smoke - I don't know. But I drink to get drunk"
"Hallelujah, I love you."
**FAVORITE** This song is absolutely enchanting and beautiful
When you find great songs, you can just feel the music through your entire body...Or is that just me? lol
Already thinking about doing a third that just came to my mind.
I haven't posted any f.usic updates since May, so today I'd like to showcase these three songs that have been blasting up my headphones like crazy lately!
F.USIC I hope is obvious to most people. But to those wondering - FUSIC is the merging of fashion and music together....In this section i'll be posting some trendy tracks that I think are just really fun to get ready to. They may also be songs by a very stylish artist or something I could definitely picture being runway worthy.
A fashionista's playlist so-to-speak. And since summer is just around the corner, this is my FAVORITE time of year to showcase 'chill-out' tracks that are really nice to just listen to on the beach with your hot bikini/bathing suit and that delicious MOJITO.
