COACHELLA MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL 2012

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
(A.K.A Coachella, Coachellafest or Coachella Festival) is an annual three-day music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The event has several stages/tents set-up throughout the grounds, each playing live music continuously as well as showcasing large sculptural art. The event features many genres of music, including rock, indie, hip-hop and electronica. 

It takes place during the third or last weekend of April. The festival is renowned for its cutting edge lineup, showcasing many of the up-and-coming acts in music as well as reunions.

In 2003 people attending the event could also camp there for the three days, on an adjacent polo field. It is encouraged to carpool to the festival, since Coachella promotes a greener environment. People who carpool are eligible for VIP goodies.

Out of dozens of photos I think these celebs really showcased their fashion sense with the meaning of the festival. Vanessa Hudgens definitely took her style seriously, dominating all three days with awesome bohemian chic outfits! She managed to incorporate almost all the trends this spring; Fringe, Floral, High-waist shorts, thigh-high socks, Boots, Floppy Hats, and tarnished gold jewelry...To name a few.

As far as the MUSIC DEPARTMENT goes - Rihanna made an appearance to perform her two hit songs with producer and DJ Calvin Harris, singing 'We Found Love' and 'Where Have you Been.'

But no music spectacle topped the amazing TUPAC HOLOGRAM PERFORMANCE. Being one of the conspiracy theorists myself, it made me wonder! Either technology is that ridiculous, or there is something they are not telling us. lol With that, Tupac is still proving that he is the richest dead man alive, and his performance at Coachella 2012 was chilling yet absolutely phenomenal.

WTH of the Week: Spring Edition

Hello Fashion Followers,

Here is a new post I dubbed "W.T.H of the Week." Meaning: WHA THE HELL???
It mostly will feature shoes, and sometimes an article of clothing or accessory that may be so horrific it makes you wonder why people are spending so much money to buy it. I appreciate innovation, and I am open minded to weird styles, don't get me wrong. But sometimes I think designers go too far. And then to sell them to average people for 200 - 300 dollars is hilarious to me. Some things should be left on the run way or in that Gucci photo shoot.

To be honest, this is not even close to some of the other things I have in my blog folder that I have been meaning to post. But I thought easing into it, so our eyes can get used to some of the autrocious things that are being sold on line as we speak! If they were selling these for maybe 20 bucks, I would consider it for a laugh...But not for 168 dollars! 

I don't know about most people, but my wallet really has been hit with an economic crisis. That's cool for those girls who have an endless supply of money to waste on things like this for the sake of fashion. But being fashionable may also have to do with working wisely with what you have. Just saying. 

On another note: I have sooooo much good stuff in my blog folder that I just have been meaning to upload but I can't think of any clever ways to present them. I am planning on making a back to back post today after this one, but if I can't get to it, 

then I want to wish everyone a HAPPY and BEAUTIFUL EASTER!!!!
